INDIVIDUAL COOKS
Our Cooks are a diverse group of volunteers from varied ethnic and economic backgrounds. We are women and men (and often children), young and old, students, workers, professionals, stay-at-home parents, retirees. But all are joined by a common thread – a wish to reach out to vulnerable neighbors – with the idea that offering home-cooked food carries a message from the heart to those who are struggling: You matter and your neighbors care about you. We are all part of a sharing community.
SERVING CIRCLE
Members of the business, civic and faith-based communities have joined our effort by forming cooking teams, providing meals and snacks to our partner agencies while at the same time promoting a community service spirit among colleagues and staff.
