Our partner agencies offer vital services to those most in need and most frequently overlooked. Without the advocacy, shelter and community these programs provide, many of our neighbors would have nowhere to turn. Community Cooks is honored to partner with these extraordinary nonprofits and their dedicated staff.
AIDS Action Committee (Cambridge) provides HIV prevention programs, and health and wellness services to people already living with HIV.
Boys & Girls Club (Medford) provides after-school programs for elementary, middle and high school students.
Bread of Life (Malden) distributes food and feeds hungry, homeless and isolated people in North Boston communities.
Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Boston) provides services and support for runaways and homeless youth.
Bristol Lodge Shelters (Waltham) provides emergency shelter and supportive services to homeless area residents.
Cambridge Family & Children’s Service (Dorchester, Malden) provides shelter and supportive services to young people ages 16-21.
Casa Myrna (Boston, Dorchester) is Greater Boston’s leading nonprofit delivering solutions to domestic and dating violence.
CASPAR (Cambridge & Somerville) provides community based services for those affected by substance abuse disorders. We deliver meals to their two men’s residences and two women’s residences, Womanplace and New Day.
Christopher’s Haven (Boston) is a home for kids and families while they battle cancer at Mass General.
CCSC@Night (Cambridge), an after school program of the Community Charter School of Cambridge, supports students in grades 9-12 by providing access to volunteer tutors, laptops and a quiet study environment.
DOVE (Quincy) is the only domestic violence organization, including shelter, in Norfolk County and also serves the greater South Shore.
East End House (Cambridge) provides support services to a diverse population, from infants to seniors, to strengthen family and community.
Eliot CBFS (Arlington) offers multiple services to adults and children with mental health issues.
Friday Café at First Church Cambridge is a space of hospitality where homeless and housed neighbors can gather in an informal setting to get to know each other.
HAWC (Salem) provides services and support to victims of domestic violence on the North Shore.
Heading Home provides housing and support services to homeless families and individuals in the Greater Boston area. We provide meals for their Cambridge residence, Medford Family Life and Stan Kaszanek House in Malden.
Hearth – Elsie Frank House (Jamaica Plain) provides support services and housing to prevent homelessness among the elderly.
Housing Families (Malden) provides housing and support services to families in the Greater Boston area.
Lowell Transitional Living Center is a 90-bed emergency and transitional housing facility, feeding 350 people every day.
Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center (Somerville) provides quality and affordable housing, which include a full array of services to formerly homeless veterans, to help rebuild their lives.
Mystic Learning Center (Somerville) brings residents together for mutual support as they acquire skills to overcome persistent poverty while creating a healthier community.
New Communities – Norfolk (Cambridge) provides affordable assisted living for elders.
On The Rise (Cambridge) is a safe haven and support center for women living in crisis or homelessness.
Parenting Journey (Somerville) provides strengths-based programs for low income parents and caregivers.
REACH (Waltham) offers safety and support to survivors of abuse while promoting healthy relationships to prevent domestic violence.
RESPOND (Somerville) partners with individuals, families and communities to end domestic violence.
Right Turn (Watertown) works with individuals struggling with substance abuse.
Riverside Day Treatment (Newton, Norwood & Wakefield) offers support services for individuals struggling with mental illness.
Ruby Rogers Center (Somerville) provides support services for people in mental health recovery.
Somerville Backpack Program reducing food insecurity for public school students and families by
delivering bags of nutritious food containing breakfast, lunch, snack and fresh fruit for the weekend.
Somerville Council on Aging supports older adults in their efforts to maintain their independence.
Somerville Homeless Coalition provides emergency services, resources, support and housing for adults and families.
St. Patrick’s Shelter (Somerville) provides transitional housing and emergency shelter for women.
The Welcome Project -LIPS (Somerville) provides opportunities for bilingual high school students from Somerville to learn language interpretation skills and to practice those skills at community meetings and events throughout the city.
The Women’s Center (Cambridge) is a community resource center for women in Cambridge.
THRIVE (Prospect Hill Academy (Somerville) community meal for elementary school students and families.
Transition House (Cambridge) helps families break the cycle of violence through innovative programs.
Tutoring Plus (Cambridge) provides free one-on-one tutoring to largely low income students, grades 4-12.
Voices Against Violence (Framingham) provides individuals and families support services and housing to help end sexual and domestic violence.
Walnut Street Center (Cambridge, Somerville) provides comprehensive support to adults with development disabilities.
Wayside Youth and Family Support Network offers transitional housing and resources to homeless young adults ages 18-25. We provide meals for ShortStop in Somerville and STEPS in Arlington.
Windsor House Adult Day Health (Belmont, Cambridge) provides supportive services to adults whose special needs place them at risk for institutionalization and homelessness.
Youth on Fire (Cambridge) is a drop-in center for homeless and street-involved young people ages 14-24.
